Sponsorship and PR

One of the best ways to recruit new supporters for our programmes is to attain media coverage of our events and activities. It is also an effective way to thank our supporters.

EBP West Berks work to get media coverage for their activities and celebrate the involvement of volunteer individuals and companies. There are good opportunities for this - every business who supports our work through volunteering, fundraising or donations has the opportunity to feature in our bi-monthly newsletter, on our website and in the local press and radio.

Our annual Employer Awards also celebrate the work and support of our supporters from the business community and provides a valuable PR platform for us to showcase our work and attract new supporters and volunteers.

Such publicity can only be positive for our business supporters who enjoy an increased profile in the community and enhanced reputation with both their employees and their customers. We are always happy to discuss any PR related activity and the best channels to attain the best results.

In addition, there is the opportunity for sponsorship of a specific event or programme. As a registered charity, EBP West Berks currently raise £500,000 per annum to maintain our valuable service to West Berkshire's community. We are funded by a variety of sources including:

  • Childrens' Trust
  • Greenham Common Trust
  • LSC
  • Local Schools
  • Local Authority
  • Vodafone
  • Newbury Building Society
  • Newbury & District Agricultural Society

We are always looking for ways for specific activities or elements of programmes to be sponsored to match the needs of local organisations. For example, Vodafone sponsor the Vodafone Think Big programme - to enable students to develop enterprise skills and creative thinking. This sponorship reflects the company's interest in the entrepreneurs of the future and is a cultural "good fit".

A range of sponsorship opportunities are available both on a one-off basis and in the form of more ongoing support.
