Why get involved?

Benefits

You may call it Corporate Community Involvement or Corporate Social Responsibility. Others refer to their company's Community Investment or Employee Engagement. It all comes back to the same thing - the desire to make a positive difference to the local community where your business operates and your employees live and work.

Employee volunteering in schools, in particular, is a tangible and practical way to give something valuable back to your community by:

  • supporting the insights and skills development of young people and our future workforce
  • having an influence on young people, their attitudes, understanding and skills
  • giving an opportunity to staff to train their communication skills with young people
  • seeking the insights and voice of young people/consumers

What better way to ensure that your future employees will meet your expectations. This, along with the satisfaction of seeing a GCSE or A level student get better grades than expected thanks to your mentoring or someone just there to listen, is what it is all about.
