The Education Business Partnership West Berkshire (EBP West Berks) is a local charity based at New Greenham Park, Newbury which promotes and organises a wide range of work related learning activities for young people in education within West Berkshire.

We work closely with all ten of the local state secondary schools along with Newbury College, some special schools and the Pupil Referral Units. Our links with the business community range from multinationals Vodafone and Bayer through to smaller local organisations such as Newbury Crash Repair and Hartwood Oak.

Our aim is to give all young people of the region an introduction to the world of work, to inspire and motivate them and to give them a sound footing on which to make more informed decisions about their future. To achieve this, we have created a range of exciting programmes which set out to broaden the knowledge of both teachers and students about different working practices and environments.

So when your child talks about his or her work experience placement, work related learning, enterprise skills, challenges or mentoring - to name but a few - these are all programmes which have been set up and run by the team at EBP West Berks. We also have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the relevant health and safety checks and risk assessments are undertaken to keep your child safe on these programmes.
